Meet Katie Hay
Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. Trusted guide for the messy, tender first weeks of feeding.

Why I do this work
I became a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist the way most of us do — through my own messy, beautiful, exhausting feeding journey. With my first baby, I was handed a leaflet at the hospital and sent home. Within a week I was in tears, convinced I was failing something I was supposed to know how to do.
The specialist who finally came to my house didn't fix everything in one visit. She did something better: she sat down, watched a full feed, and treated me like a capable person with a solvable problem. I want every parent to feel what I felt that afternoon — the relief of being met by an expert who has time.
My approach
Evidence-based, never dogmatic. There is no single "right" way to feed a baby — only the way that works for your family, your body, and your real life. I combine careful observation with gentle coaching, written plans, and follow-up so you're not wondering "what do I do next?" at 2 a.m.
When I'm not supporting families, you'll find me on local trails, testing new recipes, or advocating for better postpartum care in our community.
